VARIETIES

Red varieties of grapes such as Xinomavro, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, as well as white varieties, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurtsraminer, and Asyrtiko are cultivated at Dimopoulos Estate.

VINEYARDS

The estate is surrounded by 440.000m2 privately owned vineyards at an altitude of 630m-670m. The climate is continental, characterized by cold winter with sufficient rainfalls and snow, while summer is hot during the day and cool at night. North winds blow during the whole year ensuring a low level of relative humidity which is a factor of high importance for the quality of grapes. The soil is poor, sandy, sandy-clay with slightly alkaline PH with good drainage due to the fact that the slope has a south orientation. All the rural tasks, including harvest, are done by hand. This way, both the lowest stress to vineyards and the highest quality of grapes is achieved.

THE WINERY

The winery is located on the hillside edge of the hill named Konti Karydia (Short Walnut Tree). It is a two floor stone building and every floor covers about 870m2. Winemaking takes place in the basement where there is a cellar, a storage room and a cava. On the first floor there are offices, the tasting room, as well as an event hall.
